The Editor in Chief oversees the Journal of Dental Hygiene, provides insight on Journal processes and serves as a guide to provide support regarding Journal matters and dental hygiene research as a whole.
Editor in Chief - Catherine Draper, RDH, MS, FADHA
Cathy has been the managing editor of the Journal of Dental Hygiene since 2016. She previously served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of the California Dental Hygienists’ Association and is currently an educator at Foothill College. Cathy has been involved in various dental hygiene settings for a number of years and has published works in various publications.

Editorial Advisory Board
Members of the Journal of Dental Hygiene Advisory Board are appointed for two-year terms. Members have the same qualifications as reviewers to the JDH in addition to the following roles:
- Work with the Editor in Chief to identify potential editorial themes, pertinent topics that manuscripts should be solicited to address, and writing guest editorials for the JDH as requested by the Editor in Chief
- Provide advice regarding various aspects of the JDH
- Recommend potential authors and subscribers to the JDH, in addition to encouraging peers to submit their work for publication
- Provide general support as needed to the Editor in Chief
